Mazework
One maze a day, the same for everyone. Glide through the corridors and reach the exit in as few moves as you can, then compare with friends.

How to play
- Open today's maze. It is generated from the day's number, so everyone in the world gets the same one.
- Move with the arrow keys on a keyboard, or swipe on a phone. You glide along a corridor until you reach a turn or a fork, so a move is a decision, not a single step. Holding a key down does not add moves.
- Reach the exit. Your score is your move count. The page tells you how few moves the maze can be solved in, and you earn up to three stars for getting close to it.
- Share your result and keep your daily streak going.
The week
Like a newspaper puzzle, the maze grows through the week. Monday's is the smallest and has the fewest forks on the way to the exit; Sunday's is the largest, with more decisions and a few extra loops to tempt you off the shortest route.
Tips
- Plan before your first move. Every fork you take wrongly costs at least two moves: one in, one back.
- Trace from the exit backwards. The last stretch is usually the most constrained, so the right final corridor is easier to spot from that end.
- Be wary of loops. Later in the week some corridors join up again; a loop never gets you closer, it only adds moves.
How the mazes are made
Each day's maze is carved from a grid by a randomised algorithm whose random numbers come from the day's number, which is why it is identical for everyone and why tomorrow's is different. The generator tries several candidates and keeps the one whose solution has the number of decisions planned for that weekday, then places the start and the exit far apart. The shortest solution is calculated the same way, so your move count can be compared with it.
Questions
When does the new maze appear?
Every day at midnight Turkey time (21:00 UTC).
Why did one swipe move me so far?
Mazework moves you along a corridor until the next turn or fork. That way your score counts decisions, not steps.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Swipe in the direction you want to go and lift your finger before the next swipe.
